Kindred Fine Art Night is Wednesday, May 18th from 5-6:30 in the Kindred HS commons(during Chalkfest). Join us for a celebration of Kindreds Arts! Awards, live performances by KHS Music and Speech, and an art exhibition by KHS Art.
KAAP Artist-in-Residence Jon Offutt will also be doing live glass blowing demos in front of the high school at 4:30 & 6:30 PM!

The Kindred High School Fine Arts Departments, in cooperation with the Kindred Area Arts Partnership, are proud to announce our annual year-end celebration of the arts “Chalkfest and Fine Arts Night 2022”.
Like in years past, Chalkfest will feature both school and community events. New this year, both Chalkfest and Fine Arts Night will take place on May 18th.
School Chalkfest/Elementary Chalk-Walk » 12:00 – 3 PM
Our school event will kick off at noon with a special sack lunch for 6th-12th grade students. During this time, students will have the option to view hourly demonstrations by special KAAP Artist-in-Residence and glassblower Jon Offutt (funded in part by Kindred Viking Pride), compete for prizes in the school-wide Chalk Art Competition, play yard games, sing karaoke, and compete in the Cass County Sheriff’s Department Donut Eating Contest! The elementary (K-5) will join us for a special Chalk-walk and Chalkfest preview starting at 2 pm.
All students will receive a free root beer float, courtesy of KHS Yearbook. FCCLA will be selling pizza and popsicles to help raise money for Nationals this summer. Additionally, students will have the option to purchase a special 2022 Chalkfest T-Shirt ($10) that they can tie-dye at the FCCLA booth (see link below to sign up) – T-Shirt orders are due May 12th.

Community Chalkfest » 3:30-7:00 PM
The Community Chalkfest is an all-ages event that is free and open to the public! Attendees will be able to view the high school students' chalk artwork and will have the option to create their own in a special, free chalk area.
