We are thrilled to be hosting our Elementary Student Art Show on Tuesday, March 24th, titled “A World of Endless Imagination.”

This year, students have taken a deep dive into the world of Abstract Art, learning about influential artists who pioneered this exciting art movement. All student artwork from Preschool through 5th grade will be on display, featuring a wide variety of paintings, collages, ceramics, and sculptures.
Please join us anytime between 5:00–8:00 p.m. at Kindred Elementary School to celebrate creativity, imagination, and the incredible talents of our students.
We can’t wait to celebrate our students’ creativity and share their incredible masterpieces with you!

KPSD#2 Families & Staff Members,

Due to the deteriorating weather conditions, students will be dismissed at KPSD#2 at 1:30 today and there will be no after school activities. The building offices will be staffed until the last student returns home and buses will be running. Please contact the school district if you have any questions or concerns.

Congratulations to the Senior High Band and Choir Students yesterday at Regional Large Group Music!! The Choir received the Outstanding Performance rating and the Band just missed the star rating and received a 1. Excellent effort by all! #GoVikings

Kindred PAY Students Attend 19th Annual Inspire Conference

Kindred PAY students took part in the 19th Annual Inspire Conference, joining students from nine other schools for a day of collaboration and leadership. Throughout the day, they participated in breakout sessions and a full committee meeting focused on developing this year’s mission statement. In total, twenty schools attended the two-day conference, with Kindred representing one of the ten schools participating today (10/30).

Kindred FCCLA students had a great day learning about leadership, hearing from two people who own small businesses, and participating in a service project! They created beautiful bouquets with Hope Blooms, and Carson participated in a fear factor activity where he ate some "interesting" food items. Way to go Vikings.

Kindred FFA National Team send-off Sunday at 11:45 at Kindred Elementary. Kindred FFA has 2 teams competing at Nationals: Veterinary Science and Floriculture. They compete all day Wednesday and will get results on Thursday! These teams won at the state level (in events with over 200 students from across the state!) in June to qualify for Nationals. Wish them luck as they represent our state!
Please line up on the west side of the elementary school to send them off to Indianapolis 10/26/25 at 11:45!

Viking FFA members are competing at National FFA convention in Indianapolis next week! Students will be competing in 2 events, Veterinary Science and Floriculture.
They compete all day Wednesday and will get results on Thursday! These teams won at the state level (in events of over 200 students from across the state!) in June in order to qualify for Nationals.
Wish them luck as they go represent our state next week!

The KHS Viking Football team will once again participate in the Out Of The Darkness Walk Sunday, September 21st at Scheels Arena. The walk is hosted by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

The Kindred Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be at 1:30 on September 19th in the Kindred Performing Arts Center. The inductees will also be introduced that evening at the September 19th football game (Kindred vs. Jamestown) in Horace.
