Gearing Up for Kindergarten will be an hour that your child will spend with the Kindergarten teachers. There is also a parent portion for that hour. Parent portion is optional if you have already done Gearing up for Kindergarten with your other child. You can register online at kindred.k12.nd.us (click on the Gearing up Link).

Group 2 will be Tuesday, April 21st from 6:15-7:15
Group 3 will be Thursday, April 23rd from 5-6
Group 4 will be Thursday, April 23rd from 6:15-7:15

Dear Kindergarten Parent(s):
There will be a preregistration and screening for all incoming 2026-2027 Kindred School District kindergarten students at Kindred Elementary School on Wednesday, February 25th and Thursday, February 26th from 8:30 AM to 12:00 noon and from 1:00 to 3:30 PM.
To be eligible to enter kindergarten this fall, a child must be five years old on or before, July 31, 2026.
Each incoming student will be scheduled for a 30-minute session on one of the two dates. Please call the school before February 18th to schedule your child’s session. This is a wonderful opportunity for you and your child to visit our school during the school day. It also serves to inform our planning for the 2026-2027 school year.
We have included forms to be completed and returned on or before pre-registration. Additional registration materials and informational brochures will be available during your visit.
North Dakota law 23-07-17.1 requires immunizations before admission to school. Please have your doctor or clinic print a copy of your child’s immunization record for the school. You can bring it to Back to School Night, the first day of school in the fall or you can upload it once we have our registration open. We also recommend that your child have a complete physical prior to starting kindergarten.
We will also need a copy of your child’s Birth Certificate.
If you are unable to attend either screening date or have decided not to enroll your child in kindergarten for the 2026-27 school year, please call and let us know.
