Kindred Public Schools 4-year-old Preschool Program

Welcome to Kindred Preschool We are pleased to welcome families to the Kindred Public Schools Preschool Program - the first step in your child’s learning journey. Our program is designed to provide a high-quality, developmentally appropriate, nurturing environment that supports children’s social, emotional, physical, and academic growth before entering kindergarten.
Students must be 4 years of age by August 1st.

Kindred Elementary School
Schedule
Full-day, every-day - follows the regular school calendar.
School hours: 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (Arrival not permitted before 7:50 a.m.)
Tuition & Fees
Maximum tuition rate: $50/day (subject to school-year adjustments)
Sliding-fee scale available for qualifying families (based on household size and income)
Families are encouraged to apply for free/reduced-price meals each year - eligibility may lower or waive tuition costs
Meals
Breakfast and lunch are offered daily through our school lunch program. Families who qualify for free/reduced meals may receive discounted or no-cost meal service.
Transportation
Preschool students are eligible for the same bus transportation services provided to students in grades K-12. Bus routes will be established and communicated to families prior to the start of the school year.
Support through Early-Childhood Grant (if applicable)
If Kindred is awarded an early-childhood grant (e.g., a “Best in Class” or similar state/federal grant), eligible families may benefit from reduced tuition, subsidized preschool access, and additional support services that: CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE
Ensure affordability through sliding-fee scales

Provide high-quality teacher–child interactions and individualized support
Offer a safe, enriching environment with emphasis on play-based, hands-on learning
Include regular health screenings and well-being support
Monitor and support the child’s development — social/emotional, cognitive, language, early literacy/mathematics, physical
Engage families with resources and activities to support development at home

Enrollment Information
Enrollment for preschool is open to children who meet age and district eligibility requirements. Families interested in enrollment should complete the Preschool Application, the Child Information Form, and submit any required deposit (if applicable) by the stated deadline.
You may also submit a Free/Reduced Meal Application to determine eligibility for sliding-scale tuition or reduced-cost meals.
