Newport Ridge Bike Riders-
The
bike path is closed leading to the school until further notice. Again,
our priority is to keep the students safe. This area is active with
forklifts, trucks, and other vehicles in that area. The construction
workers have been careful to watch for children this summer as kids cut
through their construction zone, but this isn't a risk we are willing to
take during school. Please have this conversation with your children.
Do not let them cut across. It is not safe right now. We want to do
our best to avoid any chance of an accident. We will send a follow up
email and visit with students when we open it up again. If they are riding their bikes, there is a map showing the route they should take. It goes around the football field. Please share the attached map with them for directions on how to get to school.
Bike Riders West of County Road 15
If your child needs to cross County Road 15, direct them to our crossing guard on the northside of County Road 15. Please show them where the bike parking area for their bike will be on the attached map. It is on the northside of the building, far from the construction zone. This is different than last year. We don’t want any bikers in the south parking lot. Please make them aware.
