Kindred students built raised garden beds filled with vegetables and flowers for residents at New Perspective Senior Living Center in West Fargo.
FFA students and a Botany class put together raised containers, hauled dirt and worked with residents of the senior facility, New Perspectives, to plant various vegetable and flowers. There were several different kinds of tomatoes, carrots, peas, and melons.
The residents told the kids that cherry tomatoes are a house favorite. They plan to fill a dish at the front desk for a sweet treat to share with residents. Two students were interviewed by local media outlets and said it was fun to be invited and see how excited the residents are to be getting a community garden.
