Brooks exemplifies the meaning of Viking Pride in our activities, school, and community. A selfless individual that always thinks about "we" before "me" and would do anything to help those regardless of age or skill level. His hard work and dedication are extremely apparent to all, and hard work defiantly pays off. Brooks joins Abby Duchscherer (girls basketball 2019-2020) and Riley Sunram (Boys Track and Field 2023-2024) as the third Kindred athlete to win Gatorade State Player of the Year honors, but the first to win the honor in the sport of football.
