Flower Sale

Kindred FFA students, Jenna Osier and Elsa Ingebrigtson, are participating in a supervised agriculture experience. They have created an online pop-up flower shop to gain hands-on learning experience.

The two seniors have been doing this in the community for four years and are evolving their classroom learning into real-world practice.

According to their FFA leader, Melaree Lee, "These girls took a leap out of their comfort zone as freshman students when they were first introduced to SAE projects. They had an idea to sell flowers for Valentine's day. It sparked an interest in them to widen their knowledge of the floriculture industry. Since then, they have competed in floriculture competitions, and both started working for a local florist. They are the true example of what it looks like to practice classroom learning in real-life applications."

The flowers that can be ordered include red roses, white carnations, pink mini carnations, and an option to add greenery can also be ordered.

Anyone can order via the QR and all orders can be picked up on February 13th from 3:10-5:30 in the Ag Department at KHS.
