Honor Society

On Wednesday, October 11, 10 KHS students were inducted to the North Dakota Honor Society. Honor Society is one of the highest achievements a high school student can attain. This process to be one that is based on the Honor Student’s own merit.  There are three major obstacles to become a ND Association Honor Society Member- the class of 2024 needed to maintain a 3.75 GPA over six semesters.  These students that qualified received an application to apply, but this was not the only hurdle that they had.  Each student needed to perform in the Four Pillars of Honor Society: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character.  Through scholarship each student needed to maintain a 3.75 or higher GPA, be enrolled in more classes than the minimum to graduate, take challenging classes in Math, Science, English, as well as complete advance classes, such as Dual Credit. In Leadership, these candidates accumulated points for involvement of school activities in areas of Fine Arts, Clubs, and Athletics, with multiple years of involvement, as well as representing Kindred High School at functions.  Each member has participated in Service, serving as a volunteer in their school, community, and church. Lastly, each candidate gained points based upon responses from staff and faculty through a character survey, which measures six components of the student’s character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.

Congrats, Celia, Mackenzie, Avery, Avery, Riley, Andy, Jansen, Kenzie, Grace and Maddi!
